Scot M. Beaton, a resident of Rochester Hills and Former Rochester Hills City Councilman, has filed to run for the Office of Michigan House of Representatives, 45th District.
A Republican, Mr. Beaton says, "I look forward to following the long line of genuinely
conservative tax reformers from this area, most recently, term-limited Representative
John Garfield. It will be an honor to serve the taxpayers of the 45th District."
Scot Beaton has served as a city Legislator for nine years in Rochester Hills, and held the position of City Council President and Mayor Pro-Tem for two years. As local business owner, Mr. Beaton understands the needs
of business owners, residents, and local municipalities in a way that will best serve his District and the State of Michigan. Mr. Beaton will aggressively protect the interests of the people of Michigan by voting against ANY new tax increases. Vowing to save businesses from being taxed out of the State of Michigan, Mr. Beaton has plans that will help to rebuild the state by making Michigan a business friendly environment where new job creation will thrive.
Mr. Beaton’s prior service along with his professional advertising experience and studies of urban design give him a highly practical knowledge base in areas related not only to the political process.
Scot Beaton is 53 years old. He married his wife Pattie 26 years ago at Kirk in the Hills Presbyterian Church. Scot was born in Flint, Michigan and has been a lifelong resident of Michigan and a resident of Rochester Hills for over 34 years.(homeowner 23 years) Scot and Pattie have raised two wonderful children, now in their 20s.
